Grocery Shopping List Corresponding to Week 20, 2011 Recipes

Dinners Being Served,  Menu 20, 2011:  (Click on the  “Corresponding Recipes” link, so that you can prepare these dinners.)

Monday:  The Grocery Girl’s Egg Salad Sandwiches with a Pickle and Chips (Double the recipe to serve 4 people.)

Tuesday:  Turkey Taco Salad

Wednesday:  Honey Mustard Ham with Asparagus, Gorgonzola, and Walnut Linguine

Thursday:  Shrimp Caesar Salad (Caesar Dressing II)

Friday:  Leftovers

Grocery Shopping List:  (Scratch items you already have in stock off the list.)

  • 3 lemons
  • a bunch of green onions
  • 1 Roma (plum) tomato
  • 1 medium sized red onion
  • 1 head green, red, or romaine leaf lettuce
  • 2 – 3 heads of of organic hearts of romaine lettuce
  • 1 lb. fresh asparagus
  • celery or celery heart
  • a bulb of garlic
  • fresh thyme (or dried)
  • walnuts
  • 1 standard size package of ground turkey
  • 1 lb. precooked ham.  (Thick cut, ham steak, or uncut bulk ham will work.)
  • your favorite shredded cheese (recommended: Colby-Jack, Monterrey-Jack, Pepper-Jack, sharp Cheddar etc.)
  • Gorgonzola cheese
  • a wedge of Parmesan cheese (In this case, I recommend shredding your own.)
  • light sour cream
  • half and half
  • butter
  • eggs
  • croissants
  • stale bread (Look on the “day old” bakery rack if your store has one.)
  • Dijon mustard
  • light mayo
  • pickle spears
  • pickle relish
  • your favorite chips
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 package of taco seasoning
  • Italian dressing (I recommend Ken’s Zesty.)
  • chili lime tortilla chips
  • 9 oz. dried linguine
  • honey
  • garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • anchovies or anchovy paste
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • frozen precooked, deveined shrimp, 50-60/lb.
